SIGN UP FOR A SUMMER SHARE

The summer share will run for ten weeks, from June 13th to August 15th. ​Distribution will take place from 12pm to 6pm every Thursday at the Brown/RISD Hillel (80 Brown Street). ​

The summer share is fresh, colorful, and delicious; you will receive items such as zucchini, tomatoes, green beans, peaches, and more. Each season we also include two or three specialty items - which may include granola, tomato sauce, salsa, applesauce, pickles, or honey - prepared by our farmers and local Providence businesses. ​

Here is a sample summer share:​
  1/2 lb tomatoes
  1 head lettuce
  3 peaches
  2 pickling cucumbers
  3 ears corn
  1 bunch onions
  1 bunch swiss chard
  1/2 lb green beans
  2 lbs yellow/green squash

Other seasonal produce include peppers, arugula, garlic scapes, eggplant, sugar snap peas, late summer plums and other fruit, and more!

Prices
The total cost of a basic produce share is $200 for 10 weeks (=$20/week). 

You may choose to add on additional weekly shares of the following:
     Bread ($5/week = $50): 1 loaf of bread from Seven Stars. Options include: Baguette, durum, country, multigrain, and olive bread (descriptions of bread types can be found here) Eggs ($4/week = $40): 1 dozen free-range eggs from Pat's Pastured.
     Milk ($3/week = $30): 1/2 gallon of skim, 2%, or whole milk from Rhody Fresh
     Yogurt ($3/week = $30): 16oz of plain whole milk yogurt from Narragansett Creamery
     Cheese ($5/week = $50​): 8oz of assorted cheese from Narragansett Creamery. Options typically include: Atwell's Gold (cheddar), feta, mozzarella, queso blanco, Pirate's Spread, Angelito Spread, and ricotta
     FULL DAIRY SHARE ($14/week = $140): eggs, milk, yogurt, and cheese **discount of $10 from normal cost ($150)**
     Meat ($20/week x 5 weeks only = $100): Five weeks of chicken and pork OR five weeks of chicken, pork, and beef., distributed EVERY OTHER WEEK at pickup. The cut of the meat will vary each week, but the season will likely include whole chickens, chicken breast or legs, and ground beef, as well as kielbasa, bratwurst, and bacon. A sample share might be: 3 pounds of ground beef, 4 pounds of chicken leg and thighs, or 1 whole chicken.

Policies & Conditions
Participants must be Brown students (undergraduate or graduate), faculty, or staff. All participants must purchase at least one produce share. The deadline to sign up AND send in your payment or set up a payment plan is SATURDAY, JUNE 1ST. You may pay by check (addressed to "Brown Market Shares") sent to Campus Box 1930, or by credit card through the Brown Student Agencies Marketplace. 

Our prices are as listed on the form below (please note that there is an additional 7% fee if paying through BSA). Spots may be limited and will be allotted on a first come, first serve basis. Your spot in the program will not be reserved until we have received your payment.
