1st Market Day: Accomplished.

Thank you for a fantastic first Market Day
The day was not without unforeseen challenges, but we want to thank all of you for your patience and support.

This week, we welcomed a new farmer, Steve, from NorthStar, who was extremely apologetic for arriving late. Preparing greens for 280 shares proved to be much more time-consuming than he anticipated, and he assured us that he will be on time in the future.

There was confusion with sign-ups this year and a number of shareholders accidentally paid for their share through BSA without filling out our main application- resulting in a shortage of some dairy items. We apologize to everyone affected by this mistake, and we are working around the clock to prevent this problem from happening again.

You are supporting us, a new team of fiercely passionate, driven, and admittedly overworked coordinators, local farmers, who care deeply about the food and community they grow, the local economy (Market Shares had diverted a staggering $500,000 back into the local economy in only a few years), and the local food movement, which is alive and thriving in Providence- and we're excited to be a part of it.
